Like a treasured snapshot,
there's a picture in my mind
of an evening long ago
when shadows danced
and the sky was just so.

It was nearing dusk
and the light cast a magic glow
over fields and trees
of gold and green
and for a brief moment
I saw
what Monet must have seen.

M'dear Ida Belle, very graceful writing.

Dreamy...

Thank you for showing us what Monet must have seen.

Most beautiful association, your perception of the intensity of Monet's emotions that animated his paint brush. ... and your pen brought us your own delight.

Enjoyed this very much, dear Ida.

Love,

Yes, Monet was a master, and gifted us with such beautiful interpretations of nature.
Thanks for sharing your Monet moment.

(and thanks for reading my 'get it' offering)

I just popped back to mention to you that several years ago, I saw an exhibition of Monet's paintings (as well as the art of a few other Impressionists). To actually be that close to the brilliant works of those artistic geniuses was awe-inspiring, to say the least.

I have also seen some of Monet's paintings, Linda, and I totally agree.
