City of Roses
(huggies) This reminds me of a mug that is placed on the right-hand side of the countertop at the Julia West House in downtown Portland, where Operation Nightwatch (a local rescue mission operation in league with the First Presbyterian Church) regularly provides services to the homeless community in the morning and late at night............which reads "Some Do, Some Don't, Some Will, Some Won't"
(sigh) I think, just like that expression, your unique take on it hints at the paradoxical crux of life..........that sometimes we truly live in the now and then we can just as quickly slip out of it, then oscillate back toward it again! Which is primarily why I'm an optimist; I believe even while many of us tend to lose sight of the present due to regrets and trauma from the past and/or wishes and hopes for the future, we are nonetheless capable of watching our thoughts and embracing being, and I believe my own experiences and growth are representative of that!
(sigh) Bless you, my friend, you speak deepest wisdom as always!
"If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other"
