I was walking in the park,
It was dark, the park was dark,
Past the pond where gooses swim,
When I heard, a voice call "Tim".

I stopped and stared into the dark,
But saw no one, within the park,
I once again commenced my walk,
When the unseen voice, once more did talk.

"Don't you walk away from me,"
Spoke out the voice, I could not see.
"I need to have some words with you,
I'll let you know when I am through."

Once more I stopped and looked around,
The unknown voice could not be found,
Then a goose, off to my right,
He looked ticked off, like he might bite.

That goose then spoke, in a voice real mad,
"Your grammar Tim, is mighty bad.
'Gooses' is not, a word you fool,
Did not you ever go to school?"

I turned around and walked away,
I didn't have a word to say,
Because I know, that gooses can't talk,
So I continued, my nightly walk.

I knew I would smile and I am.  You never fail to make me suffer from meter-envy.  You gots it, Man.  This is a clever goose tale.  Thank you.

I walk my dogs in night so bright;
I hear the geese talk in the night;
I see the fool that walks her dogs
what she steps in; another's bog.

I've missed you; I'm back!
