I would always imagine my imagination
being a window without the makeup of drapery
just a hesitation place she would stand after
when the rain was over and the glowing began

that place where she would unfold her fragile
and place it over the back of a chair boldly
as if it were armor turned wrong side out
and she didn't care if the heart side showed

she would sing songs of the wolves dancing
and how her legs were useless to run then
when her woman skin drifted on freedom wings
and she could feel her heartbeat in the sand

I would always imagine my imagination
being a window that she left open there
wide enough to walk through in easy shoes
and closed enough to capture barefoot steps

that might seek the leather of new highways

Sigh! Such incredible imagery and imagination!

"River of wine" makes me think of being love drunk, thus needing the refreshening touch of the highway winds ...

Love,

...intimate trust here, to turn fragile heartside out to open soul windows and capture barefoot steps in new imagination.  I felt the sand and a little rain came, too.
