Farewell Poem

You have revived the dead tissue once scaled across the bottom of my heart
My soul dances once more with the breath of new life

You may never know the extent of your healing touch
nor do I

Though time will reveal the truth
I curse the same time who intends to bring us distant
the same time who refused to pause forever in that one moment you were mine

I have no right to shed light on what may have been a fluke
so trust it will be shunned from my thoughts
But sometimes the mind is set aside while the hands take control
Wherever my head may be
the memory of brushing the back of your hand shall stay with my thumbs forever

Wherever your ambitions may lead
Follow them
no matter how much I beg and plead

I promise to leave you alone so long as you satisfy my one need

Know that you are a special girl
Few deserve your hand
Modern thinking may discourage you of everlasting love
but if love is sought with patience and morality
it will open you the gates of heaven

So submit yourself to nothing less
then love that places you above all the rest
Affirm your trust in love as you have reaffirmed my trust in hope

And never stop shinning your light of joy upon the world

Welcome to Pip! Love this poem and the conclusion is beautiful and wise too.

Yes, why not send it to her? I am sure she would love to read your words.

Love,
Margherita

To her this message you should to her send.
Then your love for each other may not end.
Together you may sail stormy seas,
to love each other as you please.
The key to lasting love I've found.
Is to share a cause profound.
Together to share in common fight.
Against a foe of fearsome might.

WOW..This spoke volumes to me....I had to read it a second time....

You should send it to her...Why Not?

life is all about second chances and love...
once you find true love, never let it go, it is so very hard to find again....
