Today in Paris
the sun gods are smiling
I think because the Parisians
appear relaxed and happy
after their August vacannes
You find me
sitting in a small cafe
off Rue Monge
my view is of flowers and a very busy boulangerie
there are people on balconys high above
looking casually out of their secluded apartments
looking casually even at me
I see a man in front of me having his lunch
a simple baguette and coke
he looks around
sees me and smiles
how nice
how very nice
that he has taken time from his busy day
to smile at a stranger
Living in Paris suits me so very well
Smiling at strangers suits me even better..

I have alreadys wanted to visit that belle ville! Roneice, you have just taken me there. I am enjoying your snapshots du Paris. They are very well done! The visuals remind me of a Rockwell painting. ~ You engage all of my senses and your poems are captivating. You sound happy and relaxed. I'm smiling with you.

RDB,

I am always happy when you get to go home to the city you love so.  I do believe it is your heart home - and someday maybe your forever home.

I love seeing it through your eyes.

Love,
Ali

Bonjour.

You paint the scene very well and make me yearn to be there among my ancestors.
