BEFORE I START WRITING THIS POEM I WANT TO GIVE A BRIEF INTRODUCTION PLS BEAR:
I LIVE IN A PART OF INDIA WHICH IS BECOMING WELKNOWN ALBEIT FOR A WRONG REASON.RAINS HAVE FAILED AND THE FARMERS ARE FACING SUCH A LOT OF HARDSHIP THAT MANY ARE COMMITTING SUCIDE THIS IS A TRIBUTE TO THEM.
As I sit on the parched earth
Looking at the clouds swirling by
Adeep sigh comes out unknowing from within
Is the year also going to end without the rains coming by

The years have been harh
Yet the hope of rains never die
AlrightI am ready to face
Whatever faith has in store for me.
Fall I know Iwill
But lt will not deter me
From rising up again
Nor be pity accepted by me

Many a time people come by
Promising solutions again
But a lesson has been learnt by me
Ans see through the do-gooders I do
That have come to serve their own ends.
I will brave nature's wrath once again
And be ready to face the world till the end.

A very insightful poem of the true sadness these poor farmers face.

I just watched a special on this on television this past week.  It is no little they borrow to get their crops going, and when the rain doesn't come they are bankrupt with nothing left, and no way to feed the family or any respect left.  It is a very sad thing to see that is for sure, through the eyes of someone who is so blessed.  Bless them all.

I also live in farm country and was raised on a farm.
Here on the wind-swept plains of Nebraska the farmers are going broke. The price of corn was up because of the production of ethenol. But now is down again.
Farmers are losing their farms and insurance companies are buying the farms cheaply.
When insurance companies own enough farms the price of food will go up.
The displaced farmers move to the city to become janitors but how many jobs are there for them. Not enough!

Dear Esha, this is a sensitive, compassionate and powerful write dedicated to these farmers who face a really tough situation when rain doesn't show up.

Let us pray together with them and invoke the life giving rain ...

Clouds please come our way
empty your precious wet load
on our thirsty fields

Thank you for this, dear Mrs. Esha.

Love,
Margherita
