A Letter


To John, Jeremy and Michael,
How I wish that I could mold
the three of you into one.
One perfect man to love me
for eternity and beyond.
The perfect lover.
The greatest friend.
My rock of emotional salvation.
What I wouldn’t give
to have all three of you again.
I’ve finally figured it out.
You are my perfect man cocktail.
If I could mix all three together
it’d make the perfect drink
to intoxicate and excite me.
A drunkard I’d quickly become.
But real life doesn’t work that way.
You each are your own man,
and I can no sooner mix you together
than I can withstand being alone.
John, Jeremy and Michael
thank you for the time we spent
and for giving me
my greatest memories.
