Why did you have to go?
I'll never understand.
You had to leave a hole
in everyone you touched.

More people loved you
than you thought.
You could've reached out.
we were here for you, we thought.

Did you ask yourself
"what would my friends do
if I was gone?"
Well now you know.

No one saw it coming.
we're still crying
still in disbelief.
losing you will always ache.

CC ~ is this heart-wrenching poem on the passing of your beloved dog?
I feel your pain. You expressed in very convincingly.

Giving you a warm, healing, compassionate hug,

Thanks. This isn't about my dog though, it's about my friend who committed suicide... I bet it makes more sense now? Read it again and it might.

Oh, Rileigh, how tragic to lose your friend ~ and in such a way. Please forgive my mistaken interpretation of your poem. You recently did lose your dog, as well, did you not?

May your tears wash away your pain.

Giving you a warm, healing hug,

Love & Eternal Light,

Linda

Thank you both. Yep, you are right I did lose my puppy too. No worries about the interpretation. That's what so amazing about poetry. Different people interpret it different ways.
