The sun rises
Over a blue sea
Rhythmically rolling
Onto the shore

The trees sway
In a passing breeze
Leaves rustle
As the day’s first birds
Take to the air

There are
White clouds
Like great ships
Sailing East
Across the sky

I drink you in
With the morning light
You look at me
And smile

Thank you
However I must take issue with:

“This is a rare upbeat poem from you”
……………..

“A man of any feeling must feed his imagination;
there must be a woman of whom he can dream.”

Thomas Wentworth Higginson

That’s very hard to do in a vacuum . . .
It’s a miracle I can write at all.

Thanks again.

John
