the universe whispers
timeless secrets at night

if we would only
stay silent

and listen

shhhh...

can you hear them?

the stars twinkle
and the moon smiles

because they hear them,
the night whispers

shhhh...

Your poem reminds me of how my mum and I use to sit in our little balcony and watch the clouds and guess what they look like. Nature does speak to us, if we are willing to listen. I agreeā€¦

Magical!  Exquisite!  I am so glad (but totally unsurprised) that you hear the whispers too.  What a beautiful gift this is to all of us!  Thank you.  I am sure you cannot possibly realise (despite your remarkable spiritual awareness) how wide-spread, deep and awakening your spiritual gifts to us are.

Flicka whispers and talks to me in moon messages at night and in cloud and sky messages in the day.  After Gilbert, the head groom at Flicka's living stables, and his own groom often (over the 14 years that Flicka was at those stables) died (3 months and 15 days before Flicka), he used to talk to Flicka and me in cloud and sky messages every day.  I wouldn't be surprised if that is what gave Flicka the idea to do the same when he went to Heaven.  I wouldn't be surprised either, if he got some help from Gilbert (and God) as to how to get started.

Thank you once again, dear Kacy, for this wondrous invitation to listen. We should do it more often.

You reminded me of the night of St. Laurence when we drove to the non light-polluted fields of mais not too far from the town (Tournai/Belgium) and watched in silence a breathtaking star filled sky. It was the night of the shooting stars and we saw three. Such awe inspiring visions in total silence, listening indeed to Universe's whispers. Maybe I will write about that experience, now inspired by you ...

Your words are wonderfully after my own heart!

Love and hugs.

Whispering thank you, to each of you who read and listen, who understand.
It's sad that some people don't hear the whispers, for their lives might find new positive meanings if they but listen to the night whispers.
Diana, I know you listen to Flicka.
Margherita? I look forward to your write!
You are a great listenener and one who can relate the 'info' in such artistic and spiritual ways.

As a night person and non sleeper I too hear the whispers broken only by the night owls hooting; and far in the distance, the whistle of a train; the sound of night truckers rolling along the highways. There is something mysterious about the night. The sounds of ground animals rustling in the tall grass and bushes. I wonder about all the other people who prefer to work the night shifts. Being alone at night is somehow different than being alone during the day. Maybe that is why I have always liked to be awake after others are in deep sleep. Thank you for this one. best to you,  jo

JO, loved that reply. I love all the night sounds, Critters scurrying on earthly adventures, and the sound from beyond our terrestrial borders, that float around like some grand cosmic symphony.

Vandana, thanks for visiting.

(smiles) Do you hear what I hear, Kacy! (cups ridge of hand beside ear) I hear the celestial laughter of the spheres murmuring with majestic polyphony from the sacred spaces of the starlit rivers of the skies!

(huggies) This is gorgeous, my friend, I happen to believe myself that listening and breathing are two of the most beautiful things to appreciate in life, yet also happen to be the two virtues we most often tend to overlook! As is often said, listening is a thousand gateways to the ear, and if we all were to make a conscious effort to live listening, our world would be a far more forgiving, abundant and radiant place!

Your words inspire me as always, dearest Kacy, bless you!

XOXO,

I used to make so many trips to my Dad's... through the countryside, late at night... and the stars would be so beautiful, I'd have to stop the car so I could get out and... listen. *S* This is beautiful!!!

Thank you Noah, Jerry, Ruth for listening with me.
The earthly sounds of the coast are definitely different than those inland along the river, yet it seems the celestail tunes are much the same.
I swear I can hear the stars twinkle at 2AM, even above the sounds of the water, the fishing boats and the night shift working on the docks, and the logging trucks rolling down the highway. A nearby resident owl voices his opinions nightly.

Kacy, I was worried that I hadn't heard from you, and today found your reply of yesterday, with great relief.

Yes, I am forever voicing my opinion, and even that American cousin of mine you mentioned does too!  Smiles.

Great relief that you are well enough to be replying to responses.  Take it slowly, though.

Midnitesun, you have spoken to my spiritual core once again.  I experience moments like your poem describes, and always, always, listen to the Universe.
Well crafted directly from the heart.
