The first thing I would confess is that
no the sadness in my eyes is not
that I have given up hope
it is that a piece of me
is missing.

For the longest time after his passing
I envisioned myself left behind and hopeless.
But I realize now
that the piece missing from my heart
has been transitioned to heaven and my hope
is not dead, it has only shifted with it.
There is no sadness I can give up
there is no joy to hang on to
I simply wait until the time
when my heart will be whole again.

And yes I know that you might look deeper
and say there is yet another sadness there.
Though I do not know how
you could see past the greater
to the long since resolved smaller.

And so gain I confess that no I do not have
nor have I ever
had a partner in this life who sees me
lovely and writes me
as the subject of his love song.
And I cannot say that from time to time
this does not pain me
but I have resolved that since my Heavenly Father
knows what is best, then an earthly love
must not be what I need.

For if on this earth I had someone
to think me wonderful, wouldn't I tend to
disregard my great need for an eternal Savior?
If in his eyes my reflection were perfection
of what would I have the need to be set free?
So instead I was given Someone
who loved me enough
to die for me, whose death made a way
for me to make it in the end
to where He waits for me...

There is such a sweet tender tune in this beautifully written poem, but the melancholy prevails.

You sound so deeply lovable, dear luminosity. When we love another with all our heart, it always becomes a divine love and your love for Him will not be diminished believe me.

From the bottom of my heart I wish you to experience an earthly divine love ...

Love,
Margherita

Beautifully written.
When you least expect it, the eartly love may come along. But if not, life is still a gift of love to share.
