 If Only I Could Get Back Seem to be falling behind Setbacks and much more If only I could get back To where I was before Needing to find the words Its been difficult to explain If only I could get back To writing once again Here with my pen in hand I was frustrated obviously If only I could get back Finding the poet in me Whilst blank pages await In another sleepless night If only I could get back My confidence to write The creative spark I seek Not wanting to lose touch If only I could get back I miss writing so much Hope ©2009 |

High, Hope!  My goodness, girl! Each poem we write does not have to be a masterpiece! Just write! ~ about anything! How you're feeling, what you're doing, what you see...  See what you have done with this one! You just wrote what you were thinking ~ and voila! A very touching poem was born!!! Hope, I ALWAYS enjoy reading what you have to say. ~ and it does not need to be poetic perfection each time, either! ~ Mind you, everything you ever write is poetically expressed! I collect poems by poets who write about writing poetry and about being a poet ~ and I'd like to tuck this one away as well!    Linda |

Dear Hope, no need to go back, you are moving graciously forward and you are writing always beautifully. Be kind and patient with the Muse, she is probably trying to tell you something, but you being worried, can't hear her.  Relax and look around you ... there are so many things that would wish to be recorded by your skilled pen. Love, Margherita  |
