It isn’t that it doesn’t feel right
It’s that I know it’s wrong
It isn’t that I will pay the price
It’s that I know I don’t belong

I won’t say the words and further complicate
I won’t want for more and I won’t want what isn’t mine to take

I wouldn’t ask you to go away
Even though it’s probably not good for you to stay
I wouldn’t expect you not to hurt me
Because I know you will some day

As 'they' say, "Let your conscience be your guide." However, from my personal experience, that isn't the most fun way to go!

You have a tender, loving heart and may the man who is fortunate enough to get to hold it, treat it with the love and respect that it deserves.

Love and a warm hug,

Linda

If we never got hurt, we would never know how to protect ourself from the pain.

I also think that the first time you slap someone, it doesn't hurt that bad, but if you keep doing it, your hand starts to hurt as bad as the face your slapping.

I don't know what that means, but it sounded good when I wrote it.

Love always,
Tracey

I can't express how much these words hit me and how much I relate to them.
The words are hitting me hard.
Sometimes though, we need to take a chance on happiness in this all-too-brief life we lead.

You've always written your lessons in life;
you've always been your best north star;
the faculties of life you've grown;
you've weathered them well...continue strong!

Susan,

When I see you have posted a poem, I am here reading.  I like how you write of struggles and heartache.  You are real and your poetry reflects that.

Susan, I think the truth is always best. I hope everything is okay with you. It is so good to see a post from you. Don't stay away so long. Okay?

Susan,

   The Simple Truth has two side to it, it looks like from your writing.  That doesn't make things too simple it sounds.  I like the depth of your writing and thought.
