He's become the stream within my palm, quenching my thirst,
The cast shadow of my vein,
The "with-me-ness"
Lifting each moment of every day.

He is the heat of a stove
Bringing steam to copper kettle,
The iron of life,
The beginning, end and middle.

How did this happen?
To good end will it meet?
When it's to him in the morning
I wish my breath to greet?

While I feel warmth in other lands;
I am comforted by known-terrain,
To be able to walk safely
Unafraid of coming rains.

Two countries I adore,
One in which I'm loaned,
The other is my home,
Where the distant streams
  run gently through my palm.

Hi, there, Toccatta! Welcome aboard the 'Pip Ship' as I affectionately call it!

You certainly have made a grand appearance with this spiritually beautiful poem. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Clever title, as well!

Giving you a warm, welcoming, pip hug,

Earth Angel

The "with-me-ness"...love that

Certainly a very effective choice of words
especially:
"To be able to walk safely
Unafraid of coming rains."

I try to live by that~~ some days harder than others.

ouah toccata, there are so much expressions that i like in your poem "the with me ness"
" my breath to greet", "the streams runnig in my palms", "my home land", this is both emotionnal and exquisite...Thanks for the beautiful poem.
