Alone, I chart an ocean's course of woe,
A fool to pride upon a gilded ship,
The frigid winds of wrath and sorrows blow,
And fiercely lash away my stubborn grip.

Horizons rage with thunderheads of grief,
A coming storm, inevitable, looms,
Submerged damnations tear me like a reef,
The lust, it promises me endless dooms.

Adrift, the sirens sing lamenting tones,
"So why the tears upon my sinful bed?"
Their flashing fangs still pierce my bloodied bones,
In nests of silk, the ecstasy of dread.

Impressive, dear Luke, truly powerful.

And beautifully done.

Luke, you will grab hold of the helm and steer your ship safely into harbour. Keep those sirens at bay. They can bring a good man down with their siren song ~ and lascivious ways.

Keep forcused on your plans for the future. I truly believe that you have what it takes to manifest them into reality.   Do not get lost along the way.

What a fine writer, ye be!

Adrift in a stormy sea; a very nice piece of writing.  I hope the stormy weather lets up soon.

We all have travelled in that ship, it’s a tough ride that. Strong and lovely write. Be strong…

Luke...This is the first time i've read any of your poetry, but I promise it won't be the last. Your words have made a fan of me.
