State of constant confusion!

A single tear falls away
As life begins another day
I used to dream of being bold
Now I just dream of growing old

Tearfully sad, however, each day we have a brand new slate on which to write. Positive choices may be difficult to make at times, but they have a way of eventually drying up those tears  ~ and the chances are greatly improved that one will live to a ripe old age.

One day at a time....and there is more to life than just growing old.

Good luck with your recovery. Trust me, writing will help.

Jeffrey, "recovery" is a beautiful word! And with it comes "discovery"!

As pip's Temptress wrote, "One step at a time"! ~ Which I am sure you are 'discovering'.

Writing can be a catharsis of sorts! ~ and you definitely have not lost the ability to write! More please!

Healing hugs,
Linda

Jeffery...It took a strong man to admit this problem and for that you should be proud.
In a way I've been in recovery since 1987
because each day is a struggle we must get thru. Granted the days do get easier as time goes by, but the thoughts and this experience will remain with you forever.
Be strong my friend. I am proud of you...Paul

There is a beautiful transparency in your single tear, it is a healing tear. You will grow old and enjoy the path.

My best wishes, Poet.

Love,
Margherita

Jeffrey - it takes a lot of inner strength to make it to recovery, wishing you the best...
