A singsong's rendition
rings the chimes to our
final few, the nights
jurisdiction over simultaneous
sighs, unlocking of lips
leaves on the loose, claimed
by the labor day sweepers

extending their shadows
the bursting of white
over greys of the highway
to their hideaway haven
allude to southern flight

though this, an allegory of
better days, end of days

in a champagne toast
(forsaking the glass)

my east to your west

our echoed goodbye.

May I just whisper "beautiful" and will you hear it?  Consider the whisper sent your way.
