I have to face it:
my beloved puppy is gone.
can't help but think
and regret

I should've gone with her
that last ride to the vet
one last hug...
one last touch...

Right now,
that's what I wish
I want to run my hands
through her fur

I want to pull her close
and tell her I love her
I know she would listen,
she always did.

Know what?  Maybe she didn't want you to go on that last ride with her.  Maybe that ride was for her and she wanted you to remember what you are remembering now.  She knew (knows?) that you love her.  She might have wanted to remember you as she did - not crying over what was to come.  You know?  Maybe?

Rileigh, you keep writing.  No matter what, keep writing.  You have so much talent in this direction.  I feel your emotions and that is a wonderful quality of you.

Hugs and kisses,
Alison

Thanks, I think I actually tell more of my life on here than in real... people on here are very understanding.  Thanks for being such a good person, Allison.

God, I can't believe I came across this today. My heart is right there with you in the loss of a pet...so very difficult..I was just thinking of my own today, that I lost it has been over 2 years ago now..and I still miss her dearly..and you can never let go of the memories...so my thoughts are with you...they are like family....I hope it helped to write and share this....peaceseaker...
