Cain awoke from a deep, deep sleep on a cold tough bed,
as he slumbered there in the land of the dead.
He sat up and saw a light against a black wall,
One that shouldn’t be there at all.
He looked closer and saw it was an open door.
This had never happened before.
Usually the guards were pretty good,
many coming down from wars in the hood.
But this time the guards had really screwed up.
Death would make them drink bitter cup.
So Cain stood up and walked across the floor,
and silently slipped out the open door.
No one in the land of the dead gave any alarm,
A  few followed him out saying, “Hey, what’s the harm?”
