Tahitian Dancer

She was extremely careful
about picking the
right size coconuts.
After all she didn't
want any accidents
while performing her
Tahitian dance
for the pleasure
of her audience
on the well worn
streets of Waikiki.
By day she sells
jewelry at the
International Market Place,
but for now the
tourists money doesn't
flow so easily.
In hard times
such as this
jewelry has once
again become a luxury,
so upon wind blown nights
you'll see her under the palm trees,
illuminated by the tiki torches light,
wearing her grass shirt
and two extremely large coconuts,
accompanied by her drummers,
sharing the exciting dances of Tahiti,
for her audiences sensual pleasure.
Finally those dance lessons are paying off,
and she loves it, and I do too.

You snap up a fine picture and bring it to life with your poetry.

Love this dance to the drum beat!

Oh, and what a lovely pair (or is that "bunch"?) of coconuts, she has!

Enjoyed the vignet!
