Twinkle , twinkle,  riddle star
Now I ponder where you are
Cup of love that mounds so high
Joy of almonds,  apple pie.
Twinkle twinkle kiddle star.
Now I ponder where you are…

I say it twice, I sing to you
A dare a day, a  child’s play
A child’s play, a dare a day
A puppy dare with luvvy do
I say it twice, I sing to you.

A doggie dare with puppy do
A bigger dare, a hippo do!
A hippo dare to play the day
The strings a monkey cage

A monkey dare in mid-mid air
A monkey dare’ll do!
Higher higher aim the sight
A dare a day’s too few
A dare a day’s too few.

Run your dare throughout the mill
Run it if you will
Grind it into duplicates
Double up your thrill.

Double double dog dare!
Better yet a dream dare!
Dare to dare-dream?
a higher Higher soar-dream!
Escalate the day!

Dream gotta night dare
Dream gotta a day dare
Dream hotta-hotta  hey der’
Double double dream dare!

Double, double Dream-Dare.
Double double dream;
double double dare.
Double double seam.

Triple double seam,
Triple double dare.

Thanks, Cross Country.  A little nutty, too!  ( no pun intended... almond joy?)

misce,

This is wonderful.  I am gonna steal it.  Is it a song?  It reads like one - and I am just entranced by the words and how you put them together.

It's a keeper and thank you for sharing.

latearrival,

I miss you, too!   No, I haven't been on for months it seems.  I'm trying to catch up for the lack of writing before I go back to work.  Then...I probably won't be on again for a while.  As you can see, I'm trying to pump myself up!

Very Nice to hear from you again!

Alison,

I'm so honored for this little ditty to join the ranks in your library!  No, the only song in it is the first verse from which I switched out the words for Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.  It is a little sing-songy, kind of like Dr. Seuss' books.   (I've read so many of those to youngsters, the rhythms come out through the tips of my fingers!)  Glad you liked it.  It was fun to create.

Point of interest in the word play--we've had a magnet on our fire door for years with a a few Holstein cows standing in the field.   Of course, one of the cows is looking at you saying, "Some days you step in it, some days you don't..."
(I guess, in double daring yourself and others, you sometimes find yourself stepping in "it"!  Guess you might as well make a big splash while your there!  OO, how gross is that?  Yuck!!  Double Yuck!)   I really hadn't intended to rhyme about the "doo", but it happened that way, reminding me later of the saying on the door ,so, I'll accept it with a big laugh!
