I’ve grown quite fond of you
And also the idea of me being with you
And if you knew me as well as my poems do
You’d see the irony that they see
The idea of flexing my most cynical thoughts
Converting them to quixotic anecdotes
And entwining them with your scent
Your scent, a match for my doubts
It and your smile are constant to my thoughts
So much so like my favorite songs
So much so to the point
That all of my favorite songs remind me of you
You and my favorite songs
Make a steady mental repertoire
With your scent, and you-ful thoughts
And it makes me happy
You make me happy

..."You and my favorite songs
Make a steady mental repertoire"...
Melody and rhythm of happiness, now that's a compliment!  Your poetry has a knack for bringing simple pleasures to my mind.
