You strain to see behind my eyes.
your 'lashes acquiesce to the tide of tears for me;
grasping for a meaning,
a way to stem this raging tide.

so just touch me.
i'm not looking for the lover in your eyes.
just touch me
the way i dream you would... if you would.

You muse at my heart, so quick to take wing,
and i try to find a smile.
words, they take a holiday,
and leave an unspoken sliver in my mind.

just touch me.
trace the name i have for your love
in the frost on the windows of my soul...
a tender whispering for when the morning finally comes.

i know that deep is the power
flowing from the pools of your soul
and you would be my champion
if the dragon could be seen

please touch me
trail your fingers through my heart;
behind eyes that hate the tears
they cannot hide.

just touch me

the above lines were my favorite...
