Bones Spares The Rod

When the police arrive at the door
with little Joe in custody
for making a pest of himself,
Bones thinks back
to when he was a kid of Joe’s age,
and remembers that he was no little angel.

Bones conveniently forgets
where he left the family cat-o-nine-tails
bequeathed to him by Mom.
