Love’s Magician, do not divulge thy secrets

For I would prefer not to lose the illusion
And in doing so, destroy my innocence
As long as I remain in blissful confusion,
Do not force such a crushing consequence
Your spell is woven and cannot be unmade
Let me participate in such sleight of hand
To be witness to the magic on thy stage,
To be more than this, more than man
For if you were to loose thy binding grip
And let the audience shake free,
All the layers would begin to strip
And fall away unmercifully
Take not thy tricks, nor hypnotizing eyes
The wonder of a child in the throes of belief,
Nor the truth I see though I know them to be lies,
That, I think, would turn all thy works unto grief

For that I will beg of thee, Love’s Magician,
Keep me in trance and under this condition

How beautifully you've expressed the hope against hope the magic will never end! *S* This is superb!
