Daily deeds that need be done
may seem like trying tasks to some,
but not to me, for I have come
to perceive them all as saving graces.

They sever all the ties that bind
my thoughts, in dungeons of my mind
and free me from what I always find
to be such dark and scary places.

I embrace them, like a lover
They are not met with sadness.
They rescue me from 'neath the covers,
where I often lay in muffled madness.

They are brief
and blessed moments
that bring rewards
with no atonements
There are no crowns
that carry stone dents
Saved from nightmares
Free of dreams

I relish and I savor
all theses little daily labors
Mingling with maniacal masses,
where time so quickly passes
and sanity always seems.

Raise me,
Fell me,
Who the Devil
can tell me
what the Hell
this means ?

Let me hear
your chosen chatter
It has its' merit
but does not matter
You may flog
or you may flatter

but...
I must take out the trash.

After I go to the grocery store.

All of which
shall be done...
post bowel movement.

There are some great rhymes in this poem. None of them sound forced, which can be difficult to accomplish alone. Then, in addition, it's a great poem. I'm not one to define the meaning of poetic works, but I like what I saw in this. I believe others could relate to this if they stop and think.

I guess I'll just have to look at those tedious chores in a different light.

Cinderella and Snow White and many of us women have done the same for ... ages, lol.
"Whistle while you work" putting heart into the task at hand, is good for the soul. Immersing yourself in the moment, helps take the mind out of yesterday and tomorow and focusing on the present helps ground us, but thats tricky too, lol. Physical work helps take our mind off other "things"
