It's too hot
Outside
And my body temperature
seems to have
Malfunctioned

What do normal people do
With their excess exercise
Energy

I seem to be spinning my wheels
Lacking skills

In persuit of women
That are
Emotionally unavailable
Or simply
Unattainable

The deck feels
Stacked against me
And I
Am In
the Big Blind

I'm too old
And too tired
To start over again

Despite the rumors
I'd be big in Japan

And yet
I reach out
My hand

Knowing
There's no one there
In the shifting
Sand

I feel ya !! Oh I so understand, but I don't have that problem with women

The only time we waste is the time we spend thinking we are alone.

actually big in japan has several meanings for me, Ive been thinking of teaching English overseas and Im 6'6 about 280lbs, maybe a subconscious Waits reference, but about the same jist and a t-shirt a friend of mine was wearing about being big in spain. I will check out those lyrics, though, I like Waits too

actually, the situation is not quite as hopeless as I feared. Thanks guys
