Your song indigenous to the pentecostal chime me, a cellophane sparrow begging recovery limping, brushed in hues threatened by atrophy while attempting to glide I crawl half alive scraping the shards left on once the promise of sands, the omnipresence of your rose of Sharon remaining, where twice I had glimpsed at it over the edge where narrow waters straddle cliffs and rivers flow uninterrupted by human tragedy or fraility (such as mine) Nearing the shoreline on faith, shaking I wipe clear the haze on the mirror freed of the grit and the grime balancing tiptoed I am sparrow, nor longer stuck in the wait for lost prophets or nautical signs O I can fly..........
