Unsynchronized Passion

There, to rest against a pillowed mind
seeking the encounters of the past,
journeying into the summer fade
in the dawn of your hold from the last.

As the summer reigns come myst the night
returning now to a time of song,
sharing the moments that came with ease
gently reminding with sense of long.

Unsynchronized passion, fantasies
romantically viewed from tearing eyes.
Empty, the place of a second look
as intensity extends to sighs.

Lost in whispers that frequent the mind
There, where passion is often mistimed~~~

This feels like a well written sense of loss.

"unsynchronized passion" ~ As 'they' say, "Timing is everything". I suppose I should start wearing a watch again!!!

~ Understanding this and appreciating your talent in expressing those thoughts.

Thanks everyone. I was watching an old movie where that phrase I used in the title  was spoken and it stayed in my head.

Oh, I like this so much, Maureen.  I love it when I am inspired by a phrase that won't leave alone until I write about it.  This is so darned good.

Thanks Alison, between the summer humidity and whatever I caught that is wearing me down, the only thoughts that come to me have to be inspired right now.

shellie, you are very sweet

Lori, some days I think about missed moments when either fear or too much patience causes them to be lost~~

M~

You write with such heart and beauty.  I saw in one of your responses above that you may have caught something and aren't feeling especially great.  I hope you feel better soon!

Seems like passion of any type is a pain to me these days.  My writing, composing, art.  It just doesn't fill me.  I'm beginning to think passion is over-rated!  Silly me!   Who can have too much passion?  And to boot, I'm writing questions for purposes of revising/editing a friend's romantic script when I don't care to read romance novels!  (My friend is a school bus driver who spends her time between routes authoring novels and doing watercolor paintings.  She's great!  But, Yikes! Passion--sometimes that P word hurts!   If you haven't figured by now, your poem really hit home with me.  You express yourself so, so well.

I love your poem and all of your poetry!  Many of poems are just excellent.  I've never read any of yours that weren't outstanding...  Good luck to you in your endeavors this school year.
