Dark Daughter

The muted sighs
of deep desire
tangle
in the dark strands
of her parted hair,
caressing every lock
with whispers of
divine elegance,
speaking softly,
testifying
of her sacred love
with hushed
reverence.

"Dark daughter
we adore you,"
says the starlit wind,
which sings the
warm nightsong.
And all the
frolicking creatures
of natures evening
reverie
stop to hear
that sound.

"Dark daughter,"
says the sky,
"You are beautiful
standing poised
with slender grace
beneath the shadow
of my covering
arms."

And then she smiles
that endless smile
and all the beasts
of evenings' shade
begin to celebrate
anew,
while the scent
of midnight looms
behind
dark daughters'
lithesome form,
as she slowly
drifts
into the
waiting
night.

There is something magical in your descriptions, and a little gyspy-like, too, as the mystery of dusky beauty permeates the lines and paints the lithesome elegance of youthful grace in your poetry.  Captivating and much enjoyed!

If ever a poem were so perfect,
or a love so true, or a passion so
strong, this would be the one,
hanging for millions of eyes to view,
and millions of hearts to feel,

Inside a gallery of art, painted
on the walls of my heart....

your masterpiece....my heart!

With every phrase
the world you describe
I envisualize,

beautifully written,
however it was the title which caught my attention and much to my surprise I was not dissapointed by the content. Exactly what I was hoping for. I have a "dark daughter" and this is how I view her.

Lovely twining, dear Mesmerist.

What could be more enchanting than starlit wind?
