From my silent perch I watch the world grow old. I watch the young watching the older with awe. I have watched nations rise and fall. I have watched empires conquer and rot away. I have watched great kings rule and be dethroned. But no one can make me fall. No one can watch me rot away. I cannot be dethroned. Because few know how to reach me. I am everyone's guide; everyone's light. Even when darkness overcomes day my light shines in the moon. I am forever and I will guide forever; I will light the way forever; I will comfort forever; I will shine forever. Because the only ones who know how to reach me, are too wise to dethrone the sun. I have watched the nations, and the empires, and the kings from my silent perch in the sky. |
