Bones and his band of street urchins
are out howling like banshees.

Running up and down the street,
they don’t care about nothing,
and that’s just fine.

It’s when they’re quiet
that you have to worry.

Then you know they’re
planning something,
plotting some outrageous
disorder,
and threat to the general
public safety.

It’s a real bad sign
when they’re quiet.

It’s then best
to turn out the lights,
lock the doors,
and pretend
no one’s at home.

Yeah and then they think that the house if okay to rob. I keep my lights on and my ears tuned - and I sing ...

I don’t own a gun, and don’t need one.  I’d be afraid of shooting one of the neighbors like Bones.

The hood is noted for its burglars, books have been written about them.  “Confessions of A Second Story Man—Junior Kripplebauer and the K & A Gang”.  Needless to say we don’t steal from each other here.

But I actually believe it's better to turn on ALL the lights and put up cardboard silhouettes of "people with guns" in every window.

There's no need to be scared. Bones and his gang are harmless. They were out in front of the house late last night making a fuss.

It's always the harmless ones that get you. Just when you think your safe they strike. A fellow should wear kevlar just in case.
