Come September, the trees shed Rich and brilliant leaves Golden is the barley and the corn is sweet In red and verdant woods the children run On sun-kissed feet Through rippling fields of yellow and gold The brimming river goes And far away on distant hills The purple heather flows In drowsy still the village sleeps Mellow and apple-gay Spring's bright buds, the summer flowers All have seen their day But autumn's dazzling hours catch My eye and play their part For in the calm September days Peace holds my heart |

You know, Fall is one of my favorite seasons to write about here on Pip! ~ It is just so beautiful and refreshing poetry and thank you for bringing Autumn back to life before it comes back. martiniat8, I find that when we near autumn, a sort of mellow calm on my mind, and for me it's good, because it stresses me down in autumn, which is the busiest period of my job. Thank you ! Heart2Heart |
