Many of the ordinary days
of the past
that brought me to this place
have somehow disappeared.
They are the empty spaces
in my remembering.
Where did they go?

When you can figure out where they all went, let me know! I haven't a clue where most of mine have gone!

Sending a warm hug of love to you, my dear Ida Belle,

Tell me about it....there is a thread in the sanctuary about who do you miss!!

My list is a long one, and brings tears to my eyes...remembering when.
Like the song goes, there is always something there to remind me.
I guess it's true, time marches on and doesn't stay the same.  *sniff*

That's a good question, Ida. I have often wondered that myself.

Dear Ida, it seems we would all like to know the answer to that problem, I think it

might be something to do with old age.
Love to you my friend.

Ahhh, good question, dear Ida! I believe nothing is ever lost, our brain is like a huge bibliotheca, but there are memories we don't "visit" often, so we forget. And probably it's all right, so we can concentrate better on what the now offers.

Enjoyed this very much!

Love,
Margherita

Loved this Ida.  It's never the destination, but the journey that matters...all those memories and precious people are the gifts that keep on giving.
You are a wise woman.

A great poem that leaves the interpretation open to each individaul experience. I, personally, think I have blocked some of mine subconsciously.

"The Moving Finger writes, and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line.."
