She sits alone, by the sea
as if all the waters of the world
had been gathered together
just to craft her eyes...

I would swim to her, if I could
If I knew she would be there, waiting for me
but I am here, trapped
in this landlocked heart

the choice between two men
so different
so defined

I am
refined
reticent
and ready

for her return...

If I were you, I'd make this a one stanza poem.

The first stanza blew me away.

I love my dog, and my truck. It's that simple, really.

I truly just read your poem 3 times. It was mesmerizing. I was pulled right into the whole scenario. May your butterfly return. Personally, I would find a refined man who is ready for love and who is able to express that love so poetically, ~ to be irresistible and well-worth the return flight!

Very nice martini man, enjoyed the morning swim and
the lap of love surrounding your landlocked heart.

Beautiful poem~
