.

Who are you
Beauty

Suddenly
You appear
Out of nowhere
To dance
By the shore
Of a pale blue sea

Is that a smile
I spy through the white
Mists of your dress
Flowing all around you
Where would you have me go
In the soft dawn light
To what land of dreams

Bidding me
To follow you
Like a trusting child
Or perhaps again
Like a man in love

I’m no fool to fall for
Someone so mystical
Cornflowers in her hair

Well maybe
Just a little
After all

Thanks all

If anyone’s interested, this was brought on by a tune
of the title on the Chieftains 3  release, (which I first
heard 30 years ago).  It along with: Three Variations
On a Theme of Plum Blossoms,  (composed by Huan Yi),
are my favorites.

Thanks again,

John
