where the wild flowers grow

Nothing stops
just because I am not ready,
or willing to achieve,
a binding of soul and spirit guides..
and a word can hold my note
all through the night.
I hold you in my sleep,
this planet shivers in the breeze of my sighs,
my dreams come closer still out of reach,
and suffering these close deeds,
so tender your words comfort me in the epiphany.

You promised me
you would never leave,
the chill of your absence can torture,
and bewilder me,
quiet tones reside in the empty spaces you left between
the solemness and emptiness, the silence
which you once relieved.

How you draw the moon in summer dusk,
is paused by heated glory,
nothing can change the direction of the winds,
and nothing can change the story,
the words are mended in the shades of autumn.

But for now, the goodbyes hold true
in the dawn's light,
it is sleep that holds me here
with or without you.

So poignant this one Meg, and an all to familiar story.  It seems to take forever for the winds of change.  Beautifully crafted.

I am another PiP person who seeks out your poems.  Sometimes I feel them just wrap me among them as I absorb their story. This is a keeper.

Meghan, you write of emptiness with such fullness of of heart, with a graceful flow of the subtle nuances only a fine command of language conveys.
I always look for your poetic offerings.

Sleep can be your friend ~ as long as nightmares don't invade your quiet,  healing time.

"nothing can change the direction of the winds,
and nothing can change the story,"

~ Many a time I have awakened in the morning ~ even after a restful night ~ and those very words would ring in my head and send and icy feeling into the pit of my stomach.
I finally came to accept that I couldn't change the direction of the winds or change the story so I accepted the situation and went on to write a new ~ and happier ~ story with warm zephyrs blowing.

You are a very expressive writer. I really get into your poems.

Love to you, sweet Meghan!

Dear Kaoru, I have missed you.

Your sleep holds profound existential thoughts and you render them with deeply captivating words.

Most beautiful and touching.

Love,
Margherita
