The reason I wrote this poem is to thank you all for your great support that you have given me since I joined PIP. I know there must be other poets too whose names doesn't appear here, so I apologise to them all. It's not done on purpose.

             Friends at PIP

I have been at PIP for a couple of years
Enticed here by my good friend Rick,
The friends I have now, are not in arrears
Brought to life by a simple mouse click.

I would like to thank all who’ve responded
And in doing so pay them all a tribute,
So I’ll mention those with whom I have bonded,
Then I’m sure there won’t be any dispute.

Many folks have helped me since I came on line,
One, a special man who is named Balladeer,
He’s helped me to sort out a problem or nine
And should we ever meet, I’ll buy him a beer.

Linda would have to be placed at number one
In the list of any PIP poets selection,
Not only a writer but a painter, second to none
Also a poet who is the pinnacle of perfection.

My good friend Roniece, our friendships increase
And my mate Rick who is a pleasure to know,
There is Ida & Bill whose comments fulfill
A poets need to shine on this show.

There is Kacy &Tracey who always shine bright
In representing both women and men,
Also Margherita &Yann who both really can
Light up the screen as a kind citizen .

There’s Alison and Billie, Yoinn and Shellie
And I must not forget Bobby and Late,
Also Paul, Rose & Annie with writings uncanny,
Mysteria & Steave as their thought process dictate.

Klassy Lassie & Maranda, Michael and Diana
And a special mention for Maureen and Karilea,
Dixie, Jimmy and John who we all look upon
As valued members to us here on PIP.

There’s Old Poet & Misce whose writings are brisk,
Also Katriona  & Osprey who both light up my day,
Elizabeth, James & Wind Walker a poetical talker,
Hope, Min & Tim who write in a wonderful display.

Faeriemythc, Vandana also Southern and Titia
And a special mention for Helen and Sea,
There must be some others that I have missed here
So I would ask you to please forgive me.

Lindsay

Hey, Lindsay! This is Balladeer
I'll take you up on that cold beer!
We'll hoist a Foster's - maybe two
And there's no telling what we'll do!

We'll jump up on a table top,
Recite our poems until we drop.
Those Aussie ladies will go wild
As our words get their hormones riled.

And then we'll ride a kangaroo.
I've never done it - how about you?
If those 'roos knock me on my rear
I'll blame it on that evil beer!

Yep, it would be a real treat
If you and I would ever meet.
Move over, Banjo! We are here..
Friend Lindsay and the Balladeer!

Lindsay,

You made my night.  Even if I had not seen my name among such a talented group, I would have been happy.  Thank you, dear friend.

My dear Aussie Man, I love this Good Ship Lollipip, and you are one of the reasons why! You have a kind and gracious heart and you have the ability to make me ~ and all our other wonderful fellow pipster friends ~ laugh 'til our sides split!
You have instilled the desire in many of us, to visit your homeland of Australia. Your vivid depictions of the natural beauty of the land and its people, is alluring and very appealing.
I also enjoy your poems in which you share your wisdom, your values, your trials and tribulations, and your consumate love for Norma and your children.
I value your friendship ~ and thank you for your kind words.

Love and a big hug,
Linda

I've been one of those, Sir, who have taken the time
to spend more than words, spend more than a dime
of rhyme and love, and words that were meant to be
on honoring those who have meant most to me.

I've been at the crossroads of words that bear more
than discussion or percussion...but feelings adorned;
and come away glad was I to be in such a crowd
that ever might mention they heard one voice aloud....

so honored am I to be in your mist...
now write again, that my reading be blest.

Thank you!

Well isn't this the most precious surprise !  Thank you so much, I am moved to tears dear Lindsay that you would think to write this wonderful poem for your friends at PIPS.  What lovelier gift could one ever hope to receive.  So very quickly and really made up online, because I am at work

Such kindness in this gesture
To us it means so much
So thank you kindly Lindsay
For words that do us touch

Such kindness from a person
Who makes us laugh and smile
So thank you kindly Lindsay
For  poems that beguile

Such kindness in this poem
From one we cannot "see"
So thank you kindly Lindsay
From far across the sea

Lindsay,

I first met you in the land of prose,
A place from where a garage-ghost arose.

My memory can’t tell you now of the plot
Yet,  I knew at a minute, you were a writer
Of talent to watch.

Your words were pure image
A theatre, in mil-a-sec,
Thrilling a mystery,
Wheeling my mind (to an awesome wreck).

Scary things, I don’t take well,
Blood and guts and goin’ to h---
Yet, I knew I was hooked
On the stories you tell,
The ones you tell, you tell so well.

To Bobby, Shellie, Michael, Alison, Rose,
Linda, Sunshine, Lester, Sea, Katriona,
Ida, WW and Misce, without you great friends

to make such a generous comment, this program would not be the same. A good response puts a smile on everyone's face

and warms the heart as well. May God bless you all and thank you.

My dear friend, Lindsay,
Sorry I have not been around much, but when I get an extra minute to spare, I always go to your first, and this is the reason!!!

I personally feel honored to be listed among your friends and cherish that friendship.

Hope to get more time soon to catch up on missed reading.

God Bless you my friend,
Tracey.
