I saw you in the mirror before I passed you
looking back as if the stop lights were safe
and you could go shopping in your music there

your window was all lady like and rolled up
so you couldn't get any of the maybe good
on that white dress you put on this morning

but then you had to see what it felt like
to push your hand out and touch the sky
or at least pretending that was that reason

and then stopping at the caution light too
and waiting for us to have time to stop together
where we didn't have any other options

but to go on from there to some other afternoon

I knew there was a reason that caution lights are intended to slow us down. Until this morning, I just didn't know why.

ms ali-san..I usually speed up at them..slow down hmmmm I will have to try that out next time thanks little one.

A moment in time captured so beautifully. I feel a metaphor here, as well...it is that elipse of life coming full play. Sometimes we bump into one another and other times we merely brush shoulders.
