you know

there is a
responsibility
gene

God gives to
mothers

some
maternal pulse

spawn loyalty

indigenous
protectiveness

for one’s
own kind

scruff of
neck
type thing

mouthing cubs
from danger

the jaws
of jaguars

even if
you may
die
trying

.

and I
just
wonder

sometimes

why
God

skipped
over
you

.

Yo dear Shellie,

Some Moms are that way, it's the way they're made.  My Mom was great, she was one wise woman.

I know a couple of moms who should never have had any children and they just keep having them. Who knows why? Enjoyed your thoughts on the subject.

Terrific write, dear Shellie. You have described the mother's instinct powerfully.

I hope it is not too late for her to express the innate instinct. I don't  think it is God's fault, it's most probably what happened to her in her tender age, even if nobody may know consciously.

Talking it over?

Love and hugs.

I have often wondered the same thing, Shellie. I have seen alot of woment, who were mothers, but never should have had children.

Shellie,

Could be worst

The Japanese have a saying
that the lion mother will push
her cub off a cliff so it will
learn how to climb back up by itself,
(which is probably why, other than zoos,
there are no lions in Japan).
