Forever In Your Heart

0 posted 2009-07-25 04:21 AM

I see you when others don't,
my heart aches feeling your pain,
the loneliness you bare,
tears run down my face,

Just look at this picture,
see the love this father has,
wanting to feed his child,
keep them warm,

Where is your heart America?
have you lost your soul?
mankind left out in the cold,
what have we become?.

I see you in this picture,
for you are many, not one,
I want to run and hug you,
help you, feed you,

I simply want you to know,
someone cares and you are loved,
you may think you are invisible,

But I see clearly, my heart,
my eyes, are open,
To see a world others don't want to.

a timely, fine, and most powerfully effectively 'social impact'/conscience 'write'!

I, for one, am very proud of you, Ms. 'R.H.'!

... would that the 'rich and infamous' and the
(politico-corporate) 'powers that be' were 'listening' !

serious and long-sustained applause for this grandly 'important' "penning" !!

It's hard to find words for what I want to say. This poem is painfully true and pierces to my heart. Powerfully good write. America should listen.                                  ~UNTAMEDelegance

They are not invisible, everybody sees them, but you bet nobody would WANT to see them, because they are the strongest reminder to everyone that a society does not work, when there is such a gap between those who navigate in abundance and those who drown in poverty. They are everywhere, not only in America.
There have been great Teachers along history to let love rule, but humanity has not learned yet to truly love and respect his "neighbour" and to share the resources with him. That's why we are here in the first place, to learn to love. And those homeless, hungry people are there to remind us that it's high time to change or we shall all face together the abyss of total degradation and decadence ... and revolution, yes.
It won't be the poor who will start a revolution, because they don't have the energy, it will be started by those who care to change the world.
In this society where we are considered only "someone" if we have plenty of money, where competitiveness is required from a very early age, many feel unable to cope and slip into depression, which is one of the reasons that people end up homeless, along many other motivations of course.

Thank you for showing us your sensitivity.
The problem is complex and it is not new ...
Love and peace.

Yo dear A Romantic Heart,

It's a hard place, and always has been, and always will be.  There are people working to make things better.

ARH.

Good write. Lots of people make fun of the homeless. I tell them to shove off.

I love my dog, and my truck. It's that simple, really.

Romantic <3 your so very kind and loving. A tough subject to write about but you did it well.
