the other night I couldn’t sleep
I was watching over you
while you were all asleep
or working,  wherever
you may be
the blue pages weren’t moving
like deep still water
and if I had wanted
I could have dipped my fingers
and made ripples
but you were all at peace

so I read you, I felt you
I followed you
while you were all asleep
I laughed, I sighed
I wept
at the treasures
you had left
for me
to read
while you were all asleep

g’night peeps…

.

LOL, guess there are several of us who haunt the board at night.
Sometimes I read at 3 AM when I can't sleep.
Alison will smile at this post.

thanks for your comment martini

actually I have a fancy for everyone's work

alison is cool too but

this was about being up very late one night reading poems and noticing that alison was commenting from wherever she is when she should be sleepin' too

I think she is the one who watches over us all

Dear Brown-eyed Beauty, I know whereof you speak! ~ and you wrote it to puuuurrrrfection!

I love the sense of comaraderie and a closeness to other 'peepers' who are sailing these blue seas at night. What a pleasure it is to pop into pip and read the words of so many friends. ~ Such a comforting, warm feeling and we can do it 24/7.

I enjoyed your thoughts on this ss.

Love 'n a big warm hug,
Linda

So good to know that you were tiptoeing on the blue pages during the night, dear Shellie. I do that too, when I succeed in keeping my eyes open ...
The possibilities are almost infinite when you consider that there are the archives to discover ... there are wonderful sparkling treasures there!

Enjoyed this heartfelt, beautiful declaration of appreciation ... you are a lovely night fairie poetess!

Love,
Margherita

So here I am, Shelli, rippling the waters of the early morning pond again.  I think the mist is rising off the waters and each ripple is worth a wish.

I love being up with you and Ida.  However, you all are really the nightowls.  I am here at 8:18 my time and it's well after midnight in PiP land.  Oh, the joys of time differences.

I am often up late though - hence my email address of snowy_nightowl.  I love my quiet time here with my midnight and early morning friends.

Thank you, darlin', for the gift of poetry and your thoughts.  What a lovely tribute you have created.

Love,
Alison

there's my girl!

I did not realize there was that

great of time difference between us...

and I say that I feel you watch over us all

because you seem to have an old soul and

your comments are always kind...

that's why you are pip's sweetheart

love ya,

shel
