Morning sunlight
On the wooden table

Its legs
In silhouette
On the carpet floor

Nothing much
Nothing more

And yet
What lucky series
Of improbable events
It took for me to be here
To see it at all

A cool breeze
Through an open window

Dust floats
In the summer air
