Give heed to the night
and let her speak
past the quietened storm

when the signs
are silent
smoking that cigarette

mirrored the glow
of the orange coal
that captured the soul

in the rising smoke
illuminated by the
dim light...

of inspiration

This is a very gentle write with some beautiful images, somehow reminds me of one of those oldtime movies with the misty moonlight shining and the guy in his tipped hat leaning against the gas light pole smoking a cigarette
