            The Horse Dealer

Jack Wheeler was----a horse dealer of note
Who religiously attended horse sales,
Often horse owners asked him to quote
So that a realistic price was apt to prevail.

This day he took his five year old son
To let him see the ways of his work,
Thinking it wise for Tim to see how it was done,
They went to a sale in the large town of Bourke.

A great number of horses were yarded that day,
Jack inspected the ones he thought he might buy,
Running his hands over the horses rump & its chest
Then its body & legs their health to certify.

Young Timmy was quite intrigued by his Dad
And the question he asked him was why,
Dad then explained that he was checking to see
That the horse was quite sound & if so he might buy.

Tim thought for a moment and pondered somewhat
And on his face was a look that was glum,
Saying Dad, the Telstra man came when you were away
And I think that he wants to buy Mum.

Lindsay,  I can always count on you to lift my spirits.  My one question is;  What is a Telstra man?
I want to be sure not to leave my wife alone when they are around.

Love your wit and talent.
Your friend, Tracey.

Tracey, I forgot to tell you about the telstra man. He is the one that works for

the telephone company, so make sure you stop home when you have to call upon him to sort out you phone problems. Take care.
