taking time was my only crime of record
using it slowly on the burns of my memory
letting it sizzle down slow into lonely
until it was well enough to be freedom again

there were more miles behind the leather of me
then she would ever even realize existed
and yet she wiggled her feet around in clouds
for me to hurry and make her some happy sounds

she drew funny faces on the boxes there
and tried to put my boots in places for shoes
impatiently tapping her toes and rattling
like the shutters did when dancing with wind

it seemed there were always more tomorrows too
they came by each day uninvited but welcome
never knocked just came in with their baggage
and scattered it around the empty I had stored

when leaving mostly heart where the highway was

I really get into your highway series - I think it shows so much of you and your love of taking off and riding.  Plus, your poetry is just fun to read.

There has never been a time that I read you when I did not wish that I could write like you.

This is...as always     and perhaps a bit more

I love how that feels, the memories and the lonely coming full circle.
Makes me a little sad, but you always sizzle even when it makes my eyes burn.

DS,

I don't think i have taken the proper time to tell you how much i enjoy your poetry. Your images are done with your own unique style. I love how you sometimes delay the meaning of the image for a few lines before letting me get it. ( maybe im just slow lol) but it works. I love your art and appreciate your talent.

Yoin

Just reworked my old poetry page. Check it out before geocities takes it down. Yoin
