   Just for the fun of it I am submitting the first poem I had published I was 7 (seven) years old and the poem was in a magazine called Wee Wisdom.

                     Kitty
                       By Billie (age 7)

                I have a little kitty
             Her coat is white and gray.
          She follows me around the house.
              And always wants to play.

             Her fur is nice and shiny
              And just as soft as silk.
            I guess she keeps it that way
              By drinking lots of milk.

My word! Seven?!? ~ and already writing like that and getting publishe?!? I tellya, Billie, for what it's worth, I am VERY impressed!

I also think it is wonderful that you still have the poems that you wrote as a child. I have nary a poem from under the age of 14. Mind you, I would wager they would not have been of the caliber of the poems of yours that I have read.

This poem is as precious as you were ~ and still are!
