.

Two bobbers
In the river

Turtles and beavers
Cardinals in pairs
My father
With his usual cigar

Up the road
Both in place and time
A boy’s first love
Strong young men
Marching off to war

Water flowing
Under an iron bridge
The plaintive horn
Of a passing train

Dragonflies
Over flowered
Lily pads

Summer willows
The sun going down

.
