Stunning blow to my emotions.  No parent should have to lay their children to rest - this one hits home and makes me think of my parents.

THIS just addressed my biggest fear.  No parent should have to go through this.

I've noticed mothers are very often portrayed in these sad situations, sometimes we forget a father mourns just as much.   Beautiful, desolate and heart-rending poesy dear John.  Thank you for posting and sharing this moving lament with us.

Good elocution than no soldier should fall before their parents, while doing their Patriotic duty. I graduated into Vietnam, and the hidden body bags of war, found their way home. The fact is every one needed a salute around the White House and Congress, with and an officer and family escorting them home. Nice piece.
